Construction and home improvement materials
To reduce building costs, and to stock our ReStore, Habitat relies on donations of tools and construction materials. Our needs range from raw lumber to finished cabinets. We have set up a deconstruction crew for any donors looking to donate items that need to be taken out, whether it's a tear-down or just a remodel. See our FAQ page for a list of acceptable donation items.

How to Donate
Donation Drop-offs
Donations are accepted at the Home Improvement Store during the business hours (Mon -Sat from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.). Call (714) 434-6202 to check quality, age and usability of your items.

Donation Pick-ups
To contact us call (714)434-6202.

Confirm
We will contact you as soon as possible to discuss if we are able to accept your donation. We are unable to haul away trash, and some donations may be declined because of safety concerns, facility limitations, or marketability.

Collection
For the safest and most efficient collection of your donation, please follow these simple guidelines:

- Have all materials boxed (if applicable), stacked and readily accessible
- Mark all items with a note that reads "For Habitat for Humanity"
- Absolutely no hazardous materials or waste items are accepted
- We are unable to haul away trash or sort items from those that do not meet our criteria

Interested in Deconstruction Services?
Orange County homeowners, contractors and designers - we now have expanded “Deconstruct” services. If you are going to remodel, avoid paying for hauling/trash disposal costs, and possibly receive a tax deduction for your donated items.

Call (714)434-6200 ext 500 or contact our Deconstruction Manager and leave your name and telephone number. One of our deconstruct team representatives will call you back to see if you project fits what we can resell in our ReStore. If yes, our team of professional deconstruction staff and volunteers will come to your home or business and carefully remove reusable items that you no longer need. Popular items are newer kitchen cabinets, custom doors and quality lighting fixtures.
