DeConstruct Services
Recycle items from your home today …make a family’s dreams come true tomorrow.

  1. Please call or send an email with a list of the materials you would like to donate.   Call (714) 434-6200 ext. 500 or email DeConstruct@ReStoreOC.org
  2. We meet to review your project and provide a free estimate. Upon acceptance, we schedule an appointment to remove or pick up your items.
  3. Donated items are removed and taken to Habitat’s OC ReStores to be sold and reused.  Proceeds from the sales build more affordable homes in Orange County.
  4. You receive a tax deduction letter for your donation.

What are the Habitat ReStore DeConstruct Services?
If you’re considering remodeling your kitchen and wondering what to do with your old appliances and cabinets, recycle them and earn a tax deduction for yourself by donating them to Habitat for Humanity of Orange County.

You help the environment too by keeping reusable items out of our landfills!

The DeConstruct Services team salvages good quality, reusable building materials from homes and business that are being remodeled or demolished in Orange County. Items collected through DeConstruct Services, along with other items donated by companies and individuals, are sold through Habitat ReStore Discount Home Improvement Centers in Orange County. The Habitat ReStores recycle by selling donated new and gently used items to customers who can use them in their own homes and businesses.

DeConstruct Services dismantled and brought to ReStore where the kitchen was sold to raise money for Habitat.

What can be donated?

All items should be in good condition and working.  Items with broken glass can not be resold in the ReStores.  The following is a list of the types of items we will salvage.

Kitchen

Appliances, kitchen cabinets, granite/corian countertops, sinks, faucets, lights, etc.  Appliances need to be in good working condition and less than five  years old.  High-end appliances may be older.

Bathroom

Vanities, lights, sinks, faucets, shower doors, low-flush toilets, towel and paper holders, etc.

Doors

Exterior and interior doors, including front doors, French doors, sliders, paneled doors, mirrored closet doors, etc.

Garage

Garage cabinets, standard sectional garage door, and garage door openers.

Lighting

Exterior and interior lights, including lamps, ceiling/wall, chandeliers, ceiling fans, vanity lights, Malibu lights, etc.

Molding

Wood molding, including case, crown and base.

Windows

Dual pane and energy efficient widows.
